Key Responsibilities

  • Source and recruit candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct sourcing
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process (sourcing → screening → placement)

  • Negotiate offers and close candidates

Qualifications

Qualifications

Support the Public Lands and Records That Matter

J&R Ross Agency is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative and Technical Support Specialist to support the Bureau of Land Management’s Idaho State Office in Boise.

This position combines customer service, public-records research, financial transaction processing, document review, data management, and general administrative support. The successful candidate will assist members of the public and BLM personnel with accessing land, mineral, mining-claim, patent, and case-file information while helping maintain accurate records and accountable financial processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional with experience in government services, title and escrow, public records, banking, legal services, land management, permitting, or another highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Do Customer and Public Support

  • Assist walk-in customers and respond to telephone, email, and mailed inquiries.
  • Help customers and BLM personnel locate land, mineral, mining-claim, patent, and case-file records.
  • Explain routine processes, forms, records-retrieval procedures, and available information resources.
  • Provide professional service when handling complex questions or difficult customer interactions.
  • Refer technical, legal, or policy questions to the appropriate BLM specialist.

Financial and Payment Processing

  • Receive and process cash, checks, credit-card payments, fees, and other monetary transactions.
  • Examine payments and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Issue receipts, balance daily transactions, and resolve routine discrepancies.
  • Maintain appropriate custody, accountability, and security over Government funds and financial information.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of relevant administrative, records, customer-service, legal, banking, title, escrow, government, permitting, or financial-processing experience.

  • Experience processing accountable transactions such as cash, checks, credit cards, fees, escrow payments, or public-service payments.
