J&R Ross is seeking a Practice Group Associate (PGA) with a minimum of 3 years of attorney-level business immigration experience to join our Boston office. Qualified candidates will be able to oversee all aspects of preparing and filing nonimmigrant (L, H, TN, O, E) and immigrant (PERM, I-130, EB1A, B & C, I-140, I-485) petitions, and applications with government agencies and consulates, under the direction of a supervising attorney. PGA will also manage and collaborate with legal assistants in day-to-day work on cases, as assigned, and stay current on business immigration law developments. PGA will be expected to contribute to firm’s thought leadership by researching and drafting alerts and blog posts. Participation in client trainings and activities of the section is also expected and encouraged. Note this is an off-track (non-partnership) position.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000. This position is bonus eligible and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Must be admitted or eligible for admission in Massachusetts
- Must have 3+ years of business immigration experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities
- Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings
